Intisana College is a boy’s school, and was founded in Quito on the 24th of October 1966. It is a dependent of the international fund for educational and social development (FINDES).The school also is legally approved to function in diverse areas such as; Elementary, primary and secondary. It also has a nocturnal and technical section which has no cost, and stands to serve the social community. According to agreements made with the Ministry of Education Article Nº 3371(14th of April 1986) (28th of May 1992). Intisana College has the characteristics of an experimental school which has acquired its own pedagogical autonomy; administrative, organisational and technical abilities.

Since 1986 Intisana College has been associated with the International Baccalaureate, in Geneva Switzerland. Intisana College doesn’t discriminate against colour, race or social economic background. The school teaches the boys in a personalized and integral way while showing respect towards freedom and supporting in the teachings of Christian values. Within the environment of the College there is feeling of mutual respect and a combination of personal liberty which of course at the same time is related to responsibility.

The College orientates its activities according to convictions of its parents who trust their children and teachers  by sharing in the responsibility of academic and personal formation. Another principal objective of the school is to form and orientate the parents in virtues and Christian values. Which is fundamental in creating an educational environment. Equally the directors, teachers and employees are orientated in human, spiritual and professional capacities necessary to improve, and give the best possible service to our parents and students.

The spiritual and doctrinal activities are undertaken in confidence by the corporate prelature of Opus Dei.
