On Friday, June 5th, our 10th grade and freshmen students began their cultural trip to London, England. Twenty-six boys and two teachers had the unique chance to enjoy and get to know the culture and hospitality of the British capital.

This annual trip is carried out with the support of Netherhall House in London that has always received us with open arms. The opportunity to study in London, benefits our students in many ways and one of the most important ones is that they are able to learn and practice the English language with native speakers. This will undoubtedly improve their knowledge and abilities within the different areas of the language.

For the students who wish to, they can attend Mass, Netherhall house offers one in the morning. Once it is over, our students receive English classes with native teachers for four consecutive hours. After lunch, the students have some free time to do some educational excursions around London. They visit places such as The Buckingham Palace, The Science Museum, The Westminster Palace, The Big Ben Tower Bridge, etc. During their stay in England, the boys from Intisana also have the opportunity to visit the cities of Oxford and Cambridge where they spend a lovely day surrounded by the educational spirit in two of the oldest and very well-known universities in the world. And of course sports are not forgotten – our boys can show their abilities in various sports activities competing against people who live in Netherhall; the house is big enough and has many facilities to offer where various sports can be practiced.

Javier Maya, the Coordinator of High School and a member of the Intisana group in London, says that this trip to England is a wonderful experience. “Netherhall is an amazing and very famous intercollegiate residence with a well-known reputation where we all have the opportunity to learn, practice and live intensively virtues such as order, tolerance, fortitude, perseverance, and temperance, in order to reinforce and improve everything we have been taught in our school.
